About San Gabriel Valley Dental Society

Since the filing of the Articles of Incorporation in 1936, the purposes for which the SGVDS was formed is:

• To promote the public welfare by the advancement of the dental profession in education, science,
  mutual fellowship and good feeling;
• To foster fraternal relationships and interchange of views among dentists'
• To encourage dental and oral research;
• To disseminate in the profession knowledge of dental discoveries and invention;
• To enlighten the public in relation to oral hygiene and advanced scientific dental service;
• To encourage and participate in civic health work along dental lines; to cooperate and associate with
  other similar organizations; to advocate proper legislation and to oppose improper and destructive
  legislation; to maintain a high standard of ethics and practice among dentists;
• To have meeting and assemblages of its members for all purposes mentioned;
• To publish and circulate publications necessary or proper for the carrying out of any of the foregoing
  purposes;
• To acquire or dispose of such property as may be necessary for or proper for the carrying out of the
  purposes of this corporation.

• The organization embodies a spirit of respect, synergistic cooperation and commitment to Dental
  agents and our clients.
• Through public policy, advocacy, education and other means, the SGVDS promotes the health of
  the public, the profession and the individuals it serves.
