3D Imaging: CBCT in Pathology, Diagnosis, and Implant Planning
Speaker Setarah Lavasani, DDS, MS, FGIDA
Live Webinar / 3 CEU
Course
This course will provide an overview of the typical anatomical structures visualized in a cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scan and will cover variations of normal anatomy and the pathological processes that appear in a 3D scan. Radiographic presentation of significant pathologies, including malignancies with clinical cases, will be discussed, as well as soft tissue calcifications that may be seen in a CBCT scan and strategies to diagnose them radiographically.
Learning
1. Develop an analytical strategy to evaluate 2D and CBCT anatomical structures, their
normal variations and pathologic processes radiographically.
2. Recognize the subtle radiographic appearance of malignant pathologies in a CBCT
scans.
3. Distinguish between different soft tissue calcifications depicted in a CBCT scans.
